Computer Science Workshop

In the Computer Science Workshop, bachelor’s students in their first or second semester work on practical team projects focused on the design of information systems. The workshop fosters students’ independence, helps them integrate their basic theoretical knowledge, and boosts their motivation to study. A questionnaire for self-assessment of their own technical competencies makes learning progress visible and provides students with direct feedback on their learning success. The Computer Science Workshop is conducted on an interdisciplinary basis by several departments within the Computer Science program.

Dr. Michaela Huhn, Prof. Jörg P. Müller, Prof. Dr. Günther Kemnitz, Dr. Carsten Giesemann, Dipl.-Inform. Jens Driesberg, Dr. Jelena Fiosina, and Sabrina Wittek received the 2015 Teaching Award from Clausthal University of Technology for this teaching concept.
