Introductory Course in Electrical Engineering

The Institute for Electrical Power Engineering and Energy Systems (IEE) offers an optional introductory course on the fundamentals of electrical engineering as part of Welcome Weeks (orientation period).

"The goal of this course is to provide first-year students with an insight into selected problems in electrical engineering.

Students have the opportunity to independently conduct simple electrical engineering experiments […]. Using the pre-printed experiment report form, students are introduced to scientific work, as the measurements are followed by an evaluation of the results and the calculation of unknown variables.”

The project was first carried out in the 2014–15 winter semester by the IEE in cooperation with the Center for Higher Education Didactics and Quality Management in Teaching.  Dipl.-Ing. Raimund Schnieder and Dipl.-Ing. Alexander Oberland, as well as Dr.-Ing. Ernst August Wehrmann and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hans-Peter Beck, are responsible for the design and implementation of the project.
